Who We Are
Four Rivers Community School is a public charter school located in Ontario, Oregon. Our school has a dual-language immersion program that is designed to teach students in their first and second languages in one week increments. This allows the teacher to stay in his/her room and have all of the materials, books, posters, etc. in the target language creating a “whole immersion environment.”
This type of team teaching creates a positive collaborative environment allowing new teachers the comfort and guidance from a more experienced teacher while acquiring new skills and strategies. It is a true collaboration-both teachers learning and working together for students.
Parents are highly encouraged to come and go throughout the day as their schedule allows. The parents of Four Rivers Community School are highly regarded and their input is valued. Our implementation of school uniforms, addition to middle school and high school, volunteer hours, and family Fridays are an example of our parents’ participation and contribution.
The school was carefully created to deliver the highest quality education to all of our students.
